Pulling Back the Curtain

Melonlight has always been about making our own way; meaning that we produce entertainment in a unique fashion that most of our guests say they've never experienced before. It means we've never waited for someone to "choose us", we simply "choose ourselves" by producing our own work. And now, as we're seeking bigger opportunities and new connections to wonderful people, we realized - it's time to dream even bigger!

With two brand new shows premiering in 2026 plus a huge leap into translating our stage work into an online entertainment experience. Your support will help us cover the necessary production expenses, including:

  • PROPS + SET: The details in every show that lock in our audience for total immersion as the story unfolds.

  • COSTUMES: The visual element of each character that speaks a thousand words before an actor’s first line is even spoken.

  • LIGHTING: The mood. The vibe. The feeling that you just got transported into the show and became part of the action.

  • ADVERTISING: The off-stage spotlight that entices new audience members with what’s happening at Melonlight, and an opportunity to endlessly thank our patron donors and local business sponsors!

Most (ahem, all) theater productions, big or small, require investors, donors or financing of some kind. We're very proud to say that we produce the bulk of our shows directly from the profits of the previous show. Your sponsorship or donation helps our small arts business close the gap on needed production funds. We love, appreciate and thank you for your generous support!

We are Emily & Raymond Ulibarri, founders of the Melonlight Theater.

We started Melonlight in 2010, but the vision came long before that. We began as a dance studio, specializing in partnership dance with a strong emphasis in creative performance and storytelling. Melonlight was always meant to be a production company.

For the last decade we’ve been running our own immersive theater in Eureka Springs, Arkansas, producing full length original stage shows and countless small performance projects.
